Agile Business Analyst
Overview
Torrent is looking for an Agile Business Analyst with agile methodology experience to join our exceptional development team. This role will collaborate directly with customers and technical team members to elicit and elaborate software requirements. Refining requirements into acceptance tests that define completion is a key part of this role. A focus on quality is required. A business analyst drives delivery outcomes through a constant focus on customer business value and technical excellence. The right candidate is comfortable interacting and communicating effectively on varying organizational levels. Torrent's focus on business agility is best supported through the use of lightweight analysis techniques.
Role
- Maintain and groom product backlog
- Analyze and resolve application issues as they are reported; interact with application users
- Work with Scrum team on estimation and risk/impact analysis
- Perform requirements gathering, analysis and value mapping
- Identify user stories at the theme and epic level which help define the scope of a product release
- Create user stories which are related to themes/epics and which can be developed, tested, and released during a sprint/iteration
- Establish unambiguous Acceptance Criteria for Use Cases
- Validate with customers and verify with development team the correct execution of all planned acceptance criteria
- Facilitate discussion as customer sees working software and makes new decisions
- Adhering to and suggesting agile principles and methods of requirement gathering
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience applying analytical and problem solving skills to determine user needs and requirements
- Knowledge and experience in Agile Methodologies
- Proven experience in project development and administration
- Ability to travel if required
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with project teams, sponsors, senior management, and business partners.
- Proficient in problem resolution
- Applies high standards of quality to work completed

Skills
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and knowledge of full project lifestyle
